Microsoft Remote Desktop Client for iOS is Back After Bug Fixes

After pulling their first release of the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client 10.0 for iOS in over a year due to critical bugs, Microsoft has released an updated and fixed version 10.1.

Today, Microsoft released the Remote Desktop Client 10.1 for iOS and in response to my questions why the previous version was removed, Microsoft only told BleepingComputer that an issue has been fixed.

We identified an issue and have since corrected it. The updated version with the fix is now live in the Apple App Store.” 

As spotted by Microsoft sleuth Tero Alhonen, the latest release’s version number has been incremented from 10.0 to 10.1. The release notes, though, contain no mention of what has been fixed and the changelog is exactly the same as the previous version.

It’s been well over a year since we last updated the Remote Desktop Client for iOS.

However, we are back in the game with an exciting update, with many more to follow at a regular cadence from here on out. Here’s what new in this release:
