According to press reports, the platforms Facebook and WhatsApp will share British police messages encrypted users under a new agreement between the two countries.
According to a report published by Bloomberg, the agreement is expected to be signed officially next month, where it will force social networking companies to share information to support investigations of individuals facing serious criminal charges, including terrorism and sexual harassment of children.
British Home Secretary Pretty Paitle had previously warned of Facebook’s plan to enable users to send full encrypted messages, saying it would benefit criminals.
